Proasur renovates the Cariñena Wine Museum

Proasur renovates the Cariñena Wine Museum: a new immersive space to showcase the outstanding qualities of Cariñena wine.

In 1996, Proasur had the honour of developing the Cariñena Wine Museum, turning it into a benchmark for wine lovers and wine culture enthusiasts. Nearly 30 years later, we are embarking on a new challenge: the renovation and modernisation of this emblematic space, adapting it to the most innovative museographic trends.

The future Cariñena Wine Museum will be an immersive and experiential space, where the latest technologies will blend seamlessly with traditional tools and elements that define the present and future of Cariñena wine. Using advanced technologies such as 360º projections, holograms, and micromapping, this new concept will allow visitors to explore the world of wine from a sensory perspective, bringing them closer to the tradition, innovation, and passion behind this Protected Designation of Origin (PDO).

Cariñena: a wine legacy spanning over two thousand years

Located in Zaragoza province, within the autonomous community of Aragón, Cariñena is a land with a winemaking history dating back to Roman times. Its viticultural legacy has been a key part of the region’s identity, with a tradition that has endured and evolved over the centuries.

The Cariñena PDO is one of the oldest in Spain, officially recognised in 1932. Its territory includes several towns and is distinguished by its extreme continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters, as well as diverse soils, such as limestone, clay, and pebbly terrains. These factors have a direct impact on the quality and character of its wines.

Cariñena wines have been appreciated throughout history, even referenced by notable figures such as King Philip II. Today, the PDO is renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation, producing red, white, and rosé wines from both native and international grape varieties.

Proasur: specialists in creating wine experiences

Our expertise in the design and development of museum spaces has led us to collaborate with some of Spain’s most prestigious wine museums. In every project, we combine creativity and technology to deliver unique and unforgettable experiences. The renovation of the Cariñena Wine Museum is a new challenge that we embrace with passion and commitment, convinced that this space will redefine the way people experience and enjoy wine.

For wineries, having a wine interpretation centre not only enhances their brand value, but also enriches the visitor experience, transforming a simple wine tasting into an immersive journey through the history, tradition, and winemaking process. A well-designed space allows wineries to convey their heritage and identity, create an emotional connection with visitors, and stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

A well-structured interpretation centre also boosts wine tourism, attracting more visitors and increasing the winery’s visibility. Interactive and technological experiences strengthen the lasting impression of the visit, encouraging customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.
