The use of textile systems on facades offers numerous possibilities and advantages, such as sun protection, humidity and temperature control, creative freedom, durability, and resistance to harsh weather conditions. Furthermore, there are various systems and materials available that allow for the creation of textile facades with an attractive and distinctive visual appearance.

At Proasur, we were responsible for the textile cladding of the Liberbank building's façade in Langreo. To develop this project, we designed a second skin for this new office building, applied over a glass window frame. The frame is positioned between the edges of the floor slabs. These slabs are visible on all floors and, in turn, support the tensioned textile panels on each level.

One of the main challenges for our team in the technical development of the textile cladding system for the facade of the Liberbank building in Langreo was the fact that the anchors had to be hidden and the panels had to have little distance between the edge of the slab and the panel.

To achieve this successfully, the measurement was carried out with millimeter precision, as well as the subsequent manufacture of the panels, since the presence of any unevenness in the slab not foreseen in this measurement and manufacture would have meant that the panels would not fit or a space would appear between the panel and the slab.

There is no doubt that the use of textile systems on facades is an architectural trend that offers numerous possibilities and advantages. For the facade of the Liberbank building in Langreo, the company's corporate colors were selected based on its corporate identity manual, successfully achieving the desired objective.
