An immersive journey through European history
The museum, located in the city of Schengen, Luxembourg, will offer visitors a unique and transformative experience:
- An immersive journey that explores the evolution of the concept of ‘borders’ in Europe, from antiquity to the present day.
- 19 innovative installations that combine physical and digital elements for an interactive and immersive experience.
- Multilingual content tailored to visitors from all over Europe, promoting inclusion and intercultural understanding.
- The renovation and integration of the Princesse Marie-Astrid II boat, a historic witness to the signing of the original agreement, which will become an integral part of the museum experience.

It is scheduled to open in 2025, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Schengen Agreement and the recent enlargement of the Schengen area with the addition of Bulgaria and Romania.
