FITUR 2023: Asturias Tourism Promotion Pavilion
Fitur is the leading trade fair in the world of tourism. With over 8,300 exhibitors and 83,000 professional visitors, this fair is considered one of the world's leading events.
Asturias, one of Spain's leading regions in the tourism sector, is present at this event with a spectacular stand designed, produced and built by Proasur, reflecting the region's potential in this sector.
Covering more than 900 square metres, the Principality of Asturias' stand at Fitur 2023 showcases the region's various tourist attractions, which are so popular with visitors.
Nature occupies a prominent place throughout the space, but one feature that stands out in particular is a large virtual waterfall over 12 metres long, created by combining hyper-realistic scenery with a state-of-the-art LED screen.
The central part of this waterfall leads to a sensory tunnel, a space dedicated this year to industrial tourism, where five projections and synchronised lighting provide an overview of what Asturias has to offer in this sector. The tunnel leads to the large events area, a multi-purpose space that will be used for lectures, product presentations, talks, conferences, etc. Industrial tourism and nature are represented at the stand, but they are not the only tourist products on offer. Gastronomy is represented by the set dedicated to ‘Cocina del Paisaje’ (Landscape Cuisine), cider by the ‘Rincón sidrero’ (Cider Corner), a space where visitors can taste the emblematic Asturian drink; MICE tourism, with a personalised counter and a large LED screen; and active tourism, with a spectacular setting that reflects the wide range of adventure sports that Asturias has to offer.
