Technical development, fit-out and installation for Europa Experience.

Proasur is part of the joint venture responsible for the technical development, fit-out and installation of the exhibition spaces at Europa Experience, the network of multimedia centres that the European Parliament is rolling out across various cities in the European Union. The joint venture, in which Proasur is collaborating with Nunsys Group, is carrying out a framework contract of up to four years’ duration awarded by the European Parliament.

The challenge of a pan-European project across multiple locations.

The Europa Experience contract provides for the implementation of the same exhibition solution at different venues within the network, each in a different building, city and regulatory context. Adapting the same exhibition script to the different structural conditions at each venue requires specific technical work for each project: on-site measurements, technical documentation and the adaptation of the exhibition fittings to the specific characteristics of each building. The location of most of the venues, right in the heart of their respective cities, adds an extra layer of logistical complexity. Added to this is the need to coordinate with the structural work for each space — floors, ceilings, walls and services — in order to integrate the fit-out with the rest of the construction work. Proasur’s scope of work covers this technical development, as well as the production, transport and installation at each venue, based on the exhibition concept designed by Atelier Brückner and the technological infrastructure provided by Nunsys Group.

The Europa Experience collaboration model.

At each venue, Nunsys Group integrates the technology and communications infrastructure that enables the interactive experience; Atelier Brückner designs the exhibition narrative; and Proasur carries out the technical development and fit-out: exhibition furniture, finishes and final assembly. Each new project incorporates technical and functional improvements on previous ones, drawing on the experience gained at earlier venues.

A flagship project for the institution.

Europa Experience brings the workings of the European Union closer to the public through interactive exhibitions, content in the official languages of the European Union, and accessible tours. Proasur has carried out the technical development, fit-out and fitting-out of new offices in Prague, Luxembourg, Dublin, Zagreb, Athens, Budapest and The Hague, as well as refurbishment work on existing offices within the network, such as those in Paris, Strasbourg, Berlin and Rome. It is currently working on the addition of new offices in Bratislava and Sofia. Proasur’s involvement in this contract confirms its ability to deliver the same standard of technical development and fit-out across different regulatory and logistical contexts in different countries.
