Juno Beach Centre
"Faces of Canada Today" at Juno Beach Centre is an exhibition located in Normandy that pays tribute to the Canadian and Allied forces' contribution during the Normandy Landings (D-Day) in the Second World War. As part of the 80th anniversary of this historic event and the Battle of Normandy (6 June - 30 August 1944), the Juno Beach Centre has refurbished this gallery to highlight the diversity and multiculturalism of contemporary Canadian society, demonstrating how the legacy of veterans lives on today. The exhibition was designed by Haley Sharpe Design.
Proasur participated in the production of the exhibition furniture, the development of value-added elements, the graphics, and the lighting for the "Faces of Canada Today / Visages du Canada aujourd’hui" space at the Juno Beach Centre. All of these contributions were fundamental to the successful presentation of the exhibition, underscoring Proasur's commitment to high-quality exhibition projects.
Regarding the complexity of the project:
One of the biggest challenges of this project was the precise coordination between the various work teams.
Also noteworthy was the complexity in managing the installation logistics in an operational environment and synchronising the technological systems without interrupting the centre's operations. Through close collaboration with the client and detailed planning, Proasur delivered this exhibition, meeting the high standards of quality and functionality required.
Customised work:
In addition, as a specialist company, Proasur was responsible for the materialisation of "Poppy Rain," a unique and personalised piece that evokes the memory of those who fell during the Second World War period. Its development was carried out ensuring that all design expectations were met, and these types of elements that Proasur realises from an idea or concept significantly improve the quality and impact of the exhibition spaces.
The result:
The final result is a modern and dynamic space that not only preserves the history and legacy of the Juno Beach Centre but also offers an enriched experience for its visitors. This refurbishment enables the centre to continue its educational mission with a visually appealing and technologically advanced presentation.
