EXHIBITION FURNITURE, MODELS AND SUPPLY OF DECORATIVE GEOMETRY.
Posada de Valdéon Visitor Centre
Posada de Valdeón Visitor Centre (León, Spain), in the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park, offers visitors information and educational resources to make their visit to the Park much more enriching.
In this public tender project, Proasur, a company with extensive experience in museographic production and development of activities related to museography for visitor centres, has been responsible for the supply of its decorative geometry, exhibition furniture and models of the Picos de Europa National Park and the Torca Magali chasm.
Decorative geometry is a current trend based on geometric figures applied to decorative elements. It brings modernity, interest and freshness to exhibition spaces.
Customised exhibition furniture must be able to adapt to the specific needs of the pieces and objects provided by the client, as well as to the narrative and composition of the exhibition space.
Models, for their part, are essential museographic elements in visitor centres. Despite being a museographic support with a long tradition, they are still very much in use, due to their proximity to visitors, their intuitive nature and their easy interpretation. They offer a visual and tangible representation of the natural park, or other relevant aspects that help to better understand the geographical distribution, topography and other specifications of the environment.
The production of this space had a certain complexity due to its location in a high mountainous area. Our team had to coordinate the production and delivery of the museographic elements, taking into account the time of year when the area is isolated due to inclement weather. Its execution was carried out in accordance with the plans and forecasts, highlighting the smooth and efficient interaction with Tragsa.
