VoxBox: The European Parliament's Multimedia Studio
Political communication in the 21st century requires spaces that combine the most advanced broadcast technology with impeccable interior design. Proasur, as part of the Proasur-Nunsys joint venture, has completed the design and manufacture of VoxBox: the European Parliament’s Multimedia Studio (VoxBox), located in the heart of Brussels, within the European Parliament’s facilities.
This strategic project for the In Advance-Delens joint venture completely modernises the Parliament’s multimedia capabilities, enabling MEPs to make video recordings, live broadcasts and radio connections with media outlets around the world.
Solution: Bespoke manufacturing and interior design for the multimedia studio.
Our Interior Design and Manufacturing team focused on creating a space that was not only technically superior, but also visually impeccable and ergonomic. We use our experience in the production of technical broadcast furniture to develop robust, modular pieces designed for the full integration of sound, lighting and video equipment. This design included the manufacture of two large technical control tables to house more than 30 hardware modules, seamlessly integrating more than 50 connection points into the structure.
The selection of materials was key: we guaranteed durability and sound absorption, essential for the quality of the broadcasts. Close collaboration with Nunsys enabled us to ensure that each manufactured component provided the perfect support for the cutting-edge technology installed. This focus on technological interior design allows for agile coverage of parliamentary activities from a central location.
