MUPAC
The Museum of Archaeology and Prehistory MUPAC is developed using a wide range of museography resources: audiovisual and multimedia, visual and sound effects, interactive and manipulative, illustrations and paleoillustrations, infographics, scenographies, miniature models... all of them developed by Proasur and its multidisciplinary team.
The MUPAC has also treasured a large number of original archaeological remains collected in this region with wide international recognition (La Garma, El Castillo or Altamira Caves...). The main challenge for Proasur consisted in the development of display cases and specific exhibition furniture with special characteristics for their conservation.
For the handling of these valuable finds, Proasur had its own qualified workers and specialised personnel. Proasur combined aesthetic and exhibition criteria for the design and production process of the MUPAC's museum furniture, complying with simplicity, functionality and preventive conservation guidelines when the pieces required it. In this way, each display case that houses the collection of the Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology of Cantabria adapts to each piece in particular, as well as to the exhibition as a whole, without visually interfering with the exhibition.
