Proasur has redefined the focus of this museum and, as opposed to the generalist and global aspects that the former "Salt Museum" exhibited, the now "Museo de las Salinas del Carmen" shows a new identity that highlights the unique, local and differentiating aspects of its salt pans.
These actions, together with the implementation of the new image in the museum shop and a series of improvements to preserve the outdoor facilities, are presented to the visitor with the renewed mission of safeguarding the heritage and cultural identity of Fuerteventura.
